In my first post I've been playing around, having fun with ladybirds that were passing by me on the floor and I've took some awesome photos. And that post brings me to this one - which is even more unbelievable !!!
Usually I have seen ladybirds in my house, a few times in a year maybe, especially during spring. But this time I've noticed that something is a bit different... For a few days, every once in a while, one ladybird would pass by, so I've started to investigate that " case " :)
Every day there was at least one somewhere in the house :) Days of ladybirds :)
After some time I realized that they were all coming from the same direction...
So what did I do? I've followed them :) And look what I have found !!!
A nest of ladybirds on my window !!!
Look at this interesting group that decided to overwinter in my house :)
And look at that one that is crushed on the picture above... I really hope that I didn't do that... If I did I'm sorry !!!
This is the only window in my house that I didn't open for a while, because we didn't use that part of the house during winter period. And since this was my first time that I saw something like that on my window - I thought that I could use that rare opportunity to make some cool photos of ladybirds again. I tried to capture that moment and this is the result... :)
There were around 40 ladybirds there, most of them were 9 spot ones in all of their colors - from yellow and orange to red. Also we can see a few black ones with two red spots.
No racism here !!! All shapes and colors were chillin' together, maybe we humans can learn something from them :)
One part of the group on the photo above is hanging out on the bottom right corner of our window frame - between windows and blinds... And another part of the group that we can see on the photo below relaxes on the blinds nearby... Amazing, isn't it?
This " photoshoot " lasted around 45 min. In that time I tried not to bother them too much and let them do their own thing and go their own way. I was very excited and proud that they felt my home as their home :)
Actually, they were so comfortable with this photoshoot that after some time they've forgot I was there !!! What I mean by that is explained in the next photo :) LOVE WAS IN THE AIR !!!
Haha, look at this two lovers... Caught in the act ;)
I've took almost 30 photos in that 45 min. I was wondering how could I otherwise explain to someone what just happened here, how would you describe this? :) I couldn't believe it myself !!!
When I was sure I've made enough photos of this case, I've continued to clean that room :) Spring cleaning time made fun !!! I left that window open and in a few hours they were all gone... One by one slowly flew away to my garden and meadow nearby... That's how our interaction ended...
Again I caught myself playing like a child with ladybirds, and I can say that I had a great time :) And I know that you smiled too, at least once reading this post - didn't you? :) There is something magical in them...
At the end I wanted to mention the fact that all over the world - ladybirds are considered as symbols of love, joy, protection, prosperity and good luck. Let that be for all of us. I'm grateful and delighted that they've passed through my home. Now they will spread their love through steemit :) Make a wish when you see a ladybird! Case closed ;)
Until next time - stay curious, stay playful, stay connected with life all around...
