We visited the country over the bank holiday weekend. This is the first time we went to the park and I was impressed.
The park is located near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, a convenient 25mts drive from our place.
The admission is free but if you are travelling by car, you need to pay £3 on exit, which I particularly didn’t like but may be it is to reduce the unnecessary traffic.
The place is clean and has beautiful walks. Dogs are allowed and I was pleasantly surprised as people with dogs were tidy and cleaning for a change.
What I realised is there aren’t many unnatural or artificial things in the park. The benches and chairs were carved out of wood and few were made of fallen tree branches.
This is called black pond, which is muddy and an important point for the children participating in just gone Easter trail egg hunt.
The country park is a nice place for walkers, nature lovers and dog walkers and children as there are few play areas and I’m sure they’ll have a great time.
Finally there is a decent cafe where you can get hot food and beverages.
Have a great time.
