This tiny bird (about 90mm) is the Spotted Pardalote. It is found across southern and eastern parts of Australia. It's habitat is Eucalptus forest, where it can often be heard calling from high in the tree tops, where it forages for insects. Occasionally it comes down to lower levels and I have even seen it briefly foraging on the the ground as can be seen below.
