The Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus funereus) have been visiting my backyard this week to feed on the Banksia cones. I managed to get a couple of shots this morning before they flew off. I've also included a video I took earlier in the year where you can hear the wonderful calls these birds make. The video also includes a juvenile doing it's begging call.
The knocking noises in the video is the sound of pine cones that the cockatoos are dropping from the tree tops.
