Lake Modrac was created in 1964 by building a dam on the river Spreča in the municipality of Lukavac, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Half a century later, nature has balanced the vast expanse of water in the place where arable fields and forests stretched.
It is one of the largest reservoirs in the former Yugoslavia, into which the rivers Spreča and Turija flow. It covers about 17 square kilometers, the maximum depth is about 20 m, the maximum width is about 1600 m, and the length is 11 km.
