Scotland is famous for many things, Lochs, Highlands, Castles, Scottish Whiskey, Bagpipes, Scottish wool. Overall, I find this place very interesting. A mix of History and Nature, makes this place interesting for tourists to visit. The Castles of Scotland are also very interesting and give a good insight on the Scottish history. The best I enjoyed was the highlands. It was a short 4 days trip to Scotland and we had booked a cottage through Airbnb with a Scottish lady. Apparently, she turned out to be a writer and was a keen writer of horror stories, not my type, so during my stay with her, I really did not explore her writing part too much. She was a kind lady and she prepared many local dishes for us, which for sure was a treat.
There is so much beauty around, and the time we visited, the weather was also very good. The highlands give you a good flavor of Scotland's real beauty.
The Castles were not of much interest to me, but we visited a few of them just to get the flavor, but I did not bother much about taking the pictures.
The view from top of one of the castle
And this fancy dress, I tried at one of the castles...hehehe
The famous Scottish bagpiper. Bagpipes are also known as a national symbol of the country
The Edinburgh market square
If you are here, you cannot miss to visit the Famous Grouse Whiskey distillery. Scotland produces some of the finest scotch.

The lady who we were staying with would prepare some local meals and she would create a perfect ambience for us to enjoy our meals.
This was her cottage and the views, a perfect local experience
I am missing my travel days and just wish this time can be fast forwarded and travelling resumes back.
