I have been living near Munich for so long and have been to Schliersee so many times, but until recently I had never heard of the Josefsthaler waterfalls. You can reach them with a short walk from the parking lot. By car you drive past the Schliersee, through Neuhaus and turn right after the end of town right direction Josefsthal. After 5 minutes you reach the small town and can park there on the street. At the bakery there you can also get something stronger. Nothing works without coffee :-)

Jetzt wohne ich schon so lang in der Nähe von München und war schon so oft am Schliersee, aber von den Josefsthaler Wasserfällen hatte ich bis vor kurzem noch nie was gehört. Dabei erreicht man sie mit einem kleinen Spaziergang ab dem Parkplatz. Mit dem Auto fährt man dazu am Schliersee vorbei, durch Neuhaus hindurch und biegt gleich nach dem Ortsende rechts ab Richtung Josefsthal. Nach 5 Minuten erreicht man den kleinen Ort und kann da an der Straße parken. Beim Bäcker dort kann man sich auch gleich noch etwas stärken. Ohne Kaffee geht gar nichts :-)

...you can already reach the beautiful waterfalls	...erreicht man schon die schönen Wasserfälle.

Here there is a nice little trail with beautiful pools and other waterfalls.	Hier gibt es einen netten kleinen Rundweg mit wunderschönen Gumpen und weiteren Wasserfällen.

But we leave the circular route and continue towards Spitzingsee.	Wir verlassen aber den Rundweg und gehen weiter Richtung Spitzingsee.

We walk around the Spitzingsee to the Albert Link hut.	Wir wandern um den Spitzingsee herum zur Albert Link Hütte.

Tyrolean Gröstl and homemade rhubarb spritzer. Well, if that does not look good :-)	Tiroler Gröstl und selbst gemachte Rhabarberschorle. Na wenn das nicht gut ausschaut :-)

After we have strengthened, it goes back to the parking lot on the other side of Lake Spitzing.	Nachdem wir uns gestärkt haben, geht es an der anderen Uferseite des Spitzingsees wieder zurück zum Parkplatz.

This was really a nice, leisurely tour for young and old. There were also children, who had a lot of fun at the stream and the waterfalls.	Das war wirklich eine schöne, gemütliche Tour für Jung und Alt. Es waren auch Kinder dabei, die viel Spaß am Bach und den Wasserfällen hatten.
