Informationen über die Art Aricia agestis (Kleiner Sonnenröschen-Bläuling)

Believe it or not, I am back with another learn & earn episode and I am planning to do at least two per month. Sorry for the long breaks between the episodes in the last months.

Ob ihr es glaubt oder nicht, ich bin mit einer weiteren lerne & verdiene Episode zurück und plane zumindest zwei pro Monat zu machen. Entschuldigt die langen Pausen zwischen den Episoden in den letzten Monaten.

Disclaimer

Apparently there is a very similar species Aricia artaxerxes (northern brown argus) that is really hard to differentiate and usually it is not possible just by the morphology. So there is a chance that the picture shows this species, still I decided to introduce just Aricia agestis which was voted by you.

Offensichtlich gibt es eine sehr ähnliche Art Aricia artaxerxes (Großer Sonnenröschen-Bläuling) die ziemlich schwer zu unterscheiden ist und für gewöhnlich ist es nur über die Morphologie nicht möglich. Es besteht also die Möglichkeit das, dass Foto diese Art zeigt. Dennoch habe ich mich entschieden nur die von euch gevotete Art Aricia agestis vorzustellen.

This species is commonly distributed in Central and South Europe and ranges also into the Middle East and parts of Siberia.	Diese Art ist häufig in Zentral und Südeuropa verbreitet und reicht auch bis in den Mittleren Osten und Teile von Sibirien.
The main habitats are warm grasslands and dunes where they can be primarily found on their caterpillars feeding plants, which are mostly Geranium spp. and Helianthemum spp.	Die Haupthabitate sind warmes Grasland und Dünen, wo sie vor allem auf den Futterpflanzen der Raupen gefunden werden können, welche zum Großteil Geranium spp. und Helianthemum spp. sind.
Aricia agestis have a wingspan from 22-27 mm, with the upper side of the wings being dark brown and having orange dots on the margin and the underside being light grey-brown with orange dots and black - white bordered dots.	Aricia agestis haben eine Flügelspannweite von 22-27 mm. Die Oberseite der Flügel ist dunkel braun mit orangenen Flecken am Rand und die Unterseite ist hell graubraun mit orangenen Flecken und schwarz - weiß umrandeten Flecken.
The caterpillars of this species become around 13 mm long, are green in color, with red stripes on the back and have a bristly hair coat.	Die Raupen dieser Art werden ungefähr 13 mm lang, sind grün gefärbt, mit roten Streifen auf dem Rücken und einer borstigen Behaarung.
Females lay the eggs on the stalks or flowers of their feeding plants. The caterpillars then feed on all or most of the leaves of the plant and overwinter as fully grown caterpillars. After overwintering the butterflies are flying in 1-3 generations per year (depending on region).	Weibchen legen die Eier auf den Stängel oder die Blüten der Futterpflanze. Die Raupen fressen dann alle oder die meisten Blätter der Pflanze und überwintern als voll ausgewachsene Raupe. Nach dem Überwintern fliegen die Schmetterlinge dann in 1-3 Generationen pro Jahr (abhängig von der Region).
Since the species is very widespread and commonly distributed the current populations are considered to be stable and only on some regional levels declining.	Da die Art sehr weit und häufig verbreitet ist, werden die derzeitigen Populationen als stabil betrachtet und sind nur auf ein paar regionalen Ebenen am abnehmen.
