Endemic to Sumatra an Indonesian Island the Corpse Plant can grow to be 15ft tall. In cultivation the plant takes from 7 to 10 years for its initial bloom and takes between 2 to 10 years for every bloom thereafter. Once fully bloomed the spathe withers and dies after just a few days. If pollinated the plant produces hundreds of small golden colored fruit. Although a very beautiful product of nature the corpse plant smells foul and rotten thus its name, Corpse Plant.
