I would say 'wish you were here' but in honesty, I love the lack of people where I live! I took this shot 10mins ago.
The tranquility of this place is unspeakable at times.... especially at first light when the colours appear and new days reveals itself, accompanied by the waking sound of the jungle and fast rolling mists making their way through this sacred river valley beneath this most blessed eco community of which I am proud to be a part.
The Illagal Mining Situation
There has been no illegal mining in the valley for the last three days due to the police getting involved. And for this I am most grateful. Especially as my family has just arrived back from 7 weeks in France and are still making the jet-lag sleep adjustment, so the last thing they need is the sound of rock cutting during the day!
Watch this brief film I shot a few weeks ago to better understand what I am talking about.
Aside from being very noisy it is damaging this sacred river valley in ways that are beyond comprehension.
This photo I took a year ago. It is worse now.
Let's see how long it takes before the mine owners are able to bribe the police to release the workers to get back on with the mining!
For now that is how things seem to work in Asia. Money talks.
But with the building of awareness THIS CAN CHANGE!!!! ππ»
If is my FIRM BELIEF that a single person's focused intention is made more POWERFUL through a group's focused intention.
I have this belief because I have seen EVIDENCE of this in my life.
So, please follow & upvote for regular updates on the situation with the illegal sandstone mining going on here in Bali.
And focus your thoughts on a perfect future for this river.
