These photos are from when I worked in a wildlife hospital.
I know that this looks cute and awesome, but it means that this little koala has lost its Mumma.
Baby koalas live on their Mumma and really need the contact when they're young. Carers of orphaned koalas take on a huge job, one where they replace the Mumma. Noone else can help them in this work if that baby is going to grow up and be released without a human addiction. It's just not safe for them to think humans are OK to approach.
However, in the meantime, we get some really cute photos. Makes your heart feel all warm and fuzzy huh.
