Setting up a trail camera

I am back in Jasper and setting up a battery powered camera that has a motion sensor on it. My plan is to use it to see which animals live out in the woods. I expect to see some Deer, maybe Pigs and probably a bunch of Squirrels. I am using a hand me down camera that Hive account@ryulincoln got used himself. Though as you will see in the video I ran into some problems with it, including not being able to set the date and time on it, due to the screen being damaged. But figured I could still see what I captured on video out in the woods.

Setting it up by a creek, and a narrow crossing I should be able to get video of the animals drinking water in a stream and crossing the stream as well. We have seen many signs of animals in the area, so it should be pretty good content.

Using some AA batteries that I had laying around may have not been the best idea. As when I visited the camera again it was giving me a status light saying the batteries are low.

I brought the SD card back up to the car and checked what was on it.. Nothing new, I guess the batteries died as soon as I set it up. I bought a new trail cam since making this video and hoping it will work better being brand new.

The next time I make a video about this it will be with my new trail cam.

Since ill be using this land to raise bees its a good idea to see what is roaming around when I am not there. So I think this camera will give me some insight into what kind of critters are roaming around. Curious to see if its more daytime animals like Squirrels. Or more night time critters like Raccoons. I hope to see some big Deer, and probably will see a pig though I would rather them not be around. Their rooting tends to rip up everything and damage anything that has been planted.
