Good evening to you all! Today we have another short article about another interesting weather phenomenon that got our attention. Check down below!
Volcanic lightning is unusual weather phenomenon that can literally be described as real hell on Earth. This dark clouds full of raging lights have first time been spotted in 76 A.D. when whole city of Pompeii was destroyed. Scientists have discovered that this activity happens in certain conditions when volcano throws out particles at high speeds (100 m/s). This causes friction between particles and electrifies the dust in the air which then make a spectacular show. Lightning which is produced over raging volcano has the potential of few million volts. Closer bystanders could even feel their hair get up from eletric charge in the air and just like during violent storms they could hear snaps.
