I headed to Mossy Forest on my last day and reached there at about 2pm. The drive up there was rather difficult as the roads are narrow and windy so you have to drive slow. At some parts, the two way road merges into one, so you have to take turns with the oncoming cars. It advisable to give 2 honks when taking corners to inform oncoming cars as to avoid any accidents.
You don't have to worry about wearing shoes as there are steps and pathways so you don't actually have to hike the forest. There is a trail though that has no constructed pathways. It's only if you want to go deeper into the forest. It was really wonderful to be surrounded by all the nature.
As the name depicts, the forest is filled with moss. Some of the moss to me was even really unique. I'm so used to seeing the slimy green moss that it was really intriguing to see different kinds. It was fun to walk on the pathways and to see the trees branching over. The view itself from Mossy Forest was amazing. It was lovely to see all the hills. I felt so at peace.
It was definitely an incredible experience for me. I really did enjoy my time as I do love nature. It was wonderful to be in between all the trees and to actually be at the same height as some of the tallest trees I've seen is just amazing.
