The curious nature of orca is bewildering & to this day I learn something new every time I spend time with these animals in their natural habitat. Their incredible strong social family bonds, which we believe makes them the most socially connected species on the planet ~ even more so than ourselves. Gives us a small glimpse and understanding that they are indeed very, very emotional animals and their known social bonds with their family pod is due to this high emotional capability.
There are even some (including myself), which believe they have emotional capabilities that we still are unable to comprehend to this day. A theory that a good friend and colleague Pierre Robert de Latour, whom has been interacting with wild orca in the water for the past two decades, has is that their ability to sense and project emotions is a powerful adaptation that is yet to be understood and embraced. I completely agree with him on this theory & and strongly believe there is an important element to their emotional capabilities that we could greatly benefit from. It could be that it is something they are saying to us yet we are not listening ~ perhaps we simply just think too much?

Side note: I am a USEA Patroller and do my best to spread his techniques to people from around the world on my global expeditions to interact with marine mammals either in the water or from a vessel
A curious small type b orca having a quick look at our vessel as he cruised past with the rest of his family/pod.

What do you think Steem Community?
Do these majestic animals have a sense or emotional ability we are yet to "discover", understand & embrace?
Or am I just slightly crazy...?
