In May 2011, working for TrackerAudio, I helped record audio for lectures, take still photos and most important ---make strong coffee for Tom Brown Jr --
(I was known as "Dude" to Tom, and after handing him morning coffee it was always - "Thanks, Dude")
I also took the Standard Survival Course and Philosophy I throughout that summer.
We had about 80 people in the Standard Course from all over the world - Australia, Germany, Canada, South America to name a few. The characters were varied and colorful - software developers, drifters, military special ops, neo-hippies, trustafarians, earth mothers, fluffy bunnies, wiccans and witches, and many that were difficult to stereotype. We were all brought together by the class.
The video below was produced in 2012 by Stephen Gifford (www.prettydamnsweet.com)
and David Ott (www.trackeraudio.com).

It gives a good overview of the vibe and deserves a look for those interested in this endeavor.
it was part of a pitch for the Discovery Channel that never materialized into a finished show.
Why? Let's take a guess... from my knowledge, the Disc Channel team deviously pushed the TrackerAudio/PrettyDamnSweet to the side. This was not unnoticed by Tom Brown Jr (obviously) and long story short, promptly booted the Disc Channel team from the camp. Good riddance, Legacy TV - cut the cable anyway. Better to be outside.
