Greetings fellow Steemians,
After we got fresh package of snow on friday I just had to pack my stuff in the car with my snowboard of course and went on a short road trip to upper Savinjska region to a small cottage for a weekend with my friends.
Started my trip early in the morning, packed everything needed and started on an hour drive to village Ljubno where I met with friends and drove for another 15 minutes, till I got to a little trouble with icy road. But after 15 more minutes, several attempts and driving reverse for the last 500 meters uphill, we parked our cars and were left with 1 kilometer hike to our cottage.
The snow was fresh powder and more than enuf snow, even made few jumps at first, but saw we got more than perfect natural jumps all around us, especially the next day after a very cold night.
Woke up early next day as well, only slept for few hours, made us some coffee, took my snowboard and was on the hill just after sunrise.
Next day was a perfect terrain for me to get more experience and a feel for snowboarding. Tryed out new stuff, was a really nice place to get back some motivation and a reward after successful first exam done. Surrounded with mountains, singing birds, spruces, sunshine and awesome time with old friends after a quite some time. :)
For the last run, we went straight on top of the mountain Golte, well almost, because we walked the whole way thru a closed skiing area where they were making fresh snow.
Here is the view from the top, had to rest for a bit and of course take few shots and get my breath back, but it was totally worth all the effort! :)
I can easily say it's been an awesome weekend behind me with my friends and no internet, electricity or radio. Hoping for another package of snowand a weekend like this soon! :)
