Is this a Sunset or a Sunrise?
Whenever Sun sets at a place, it rises at another place. There was a saying during the colonial era of English rule that the Sun never sets in their kingdom, implying the geographical spread of their rule on this world was so extensive that at least one of their territory was receiving daylight at any point of the day. However that saying still holds true as even today, Sun does not sets in United Kingdom's borders if we take into account all its current territory.
But I love to watch Sunsets wherever I'm. My city has several spectacular locations to view Sunsets. But I rarely get a chance to watch a Sunset over a sea. I got this opportunity when I was in Mumbai a few days back. This is the first picture I've ever taken of a Sunset over a sea and the best thing is that I never planned to view this Sunset.
This was just before the Vegan India Movement outreach event at Mumbai when organizers got busy to resolve some police permission issue with the Mumbai Police there. So I took a walk to capture this beautiful Sunset. While watching Sunsets, I always imagine that although sun appears to be setting to me, it is rising somewhere simultaneously.
Some people consider it a bad omen to watch a Sunset thinking that it will bring in misfortune to them and they always recommend to view only Sunrises to take inspiration from it for the growth and progress in their life, wealth, health etc.. But whenever the Sun sets, it always leave with a promise to come back again next morning. And whenever it sets, it rises somewhere ...shifting the hope, light and brightness uniformly across the globe. This is its impartial justice to everyone on its route.
Do you love to watch Sunrises or Sunsets? If not, make it a point to watch at least one each day and see how fulfilling it makes your day!
