G.O.A.T. that preety much says it all.
Yes on Friday Oct. 26th 1984, Michael Jeffrey Jordan made his NBA debut.
On this day he helped the Chicago Bulls beat the then called Washington Bullets,
with his 16 points. These 16 points were the first of his 32,292 that he scored in his
playing career.
As fate would have it he began his playing career against the team that he would endup
playing for in the last two seasons of his career, only at that time they were called the
Washington Wizards.
The 14-time All-Star would go onto play 15 seasons for the Chicago Bulls and the Washington
Wizards. He was a 6 time NBA Champ, 6 time Finals MVP, 5 time Most Valuable Player and so on....
He received so many Awards throughout his career that I could write about it the whole day.
His biography on the NBA website states : "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest
basketball player of all time."
I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because he was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation he was
considered instrumental in popularizing the NBA all over the world in the 80's and 90's.
He entertained the crowds with his prolific scoring, but it was his leaping ability that he
demonstrated when he took part in slam dunk contests. He preety much would take off
from the free throw line when dunking an this earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan"
and "His Airness".
He is the greatest.
But before him, there was one player named "Dr. J", whom I loved watching on the court and
he is my favorite player of all-time. To me he is the best player of all-time but he's still in
second place behind MJ........
No Kobe, no Curry, no James and so on........
These two were the best, although I do agree that Kobe Bryant is the "Heir Apparent"
to MJ......
