Yesterday, the Los Angeles Lakers played back in the Staples Center after the NBA had decided to postpone the match up of Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. Yesterday, it was very evident that the Lakers team and the fans are really affected and saddened of Kobe Bryant’s death. And with that the Portland Trail Blazers became the better last night wherein their star player Damian Lillard scored 48 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (he is just short of 1 rebound to tally a triple double) as the Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 127-119. Damian Lillard is now the first player in NBA history to record 35+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5 plus assists and 5 plus three-point fieldgoal in five consecutive games. Damian Lillard has also knocked down 40 three-point fieldgoal in his last 5 games, setting a new NBA record for three-point fieldgoal in a 5-game span. Lillard’s performance is what the Mamba Mentality means and the Lakers team need to do that in their next games. On the other hand, Anthony Davis tallied 37 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks for the Los Angeles Lakers.
