Maybe home court advantage does not apply to a team this season always trailing.
Game five in Phoenix was phenomenon from the Clippers. They came facing elimination
and delivered a win while PG13 scored 41 points. It was sensational knowing it is win or
go home. Going home I was waiting for PG13 to do the same thing down the line.
The Suns found the recipe to control Paul while the other Paul was let loose to score 41 points
to close the deal. Since PG13 was under lock down by Suns' defense Morris Sr. was free to score
26 points and he played more minutes. Reggie was out of rhythm during the game. As always Clippers
plays good enough to win against any team with little effort.
Phoenix dropped 130. Hard mountain to climb. Monty made adjustment and Tye unable to flip the switch again.
Now I see where Kahwi is needed to supplement PG and Reggie. Clippers is a great team with a nucleus of Champions
from coach Lue and Kahwi. Injuries got the best of them. Two years in a row. 2021/2022 season we will see where Clippers will do. As always time management has its merits but not in the post season.
Each quarter Phoenix dropped 30+ while Clippers 29,28, 26, 20 it was an agonized night watching them
unable to contain Suns in their own building. Chris Paul was on mark and poised to stop the back and forth
win with the Clippers. This is new for Chris Paul going to the NBA Finals in 16 years of his NBA career. It has been 10 years
for the Suns to the Finals as well. It will be scary cause this is their first trip for this unit.
They are getting ready for the Bucks vs Hawks for this year big game. If Trae can play and there is no Giannis
ice cold Trae can make a difference. If Khris can take over with Jrue it will be another series.
While Phoenix players are resting, that could play in their favor to have fresh legs for the Finals.
It will be harder mentally for the East to even put an even competition. Lately injuries have been
the biggest hurdle of the NBA. Injuries give other teams the opportunity to reach far.
We will see how the league assess and arrange this calamity.
