One of the many things I do for $ to fund the building of Borrowed Earth Homestead is to make custom Patchwork.
I have a solid rule to learn something new with every project.
The Illinois Grateful Dead Reverse Applique pictured above was my new element on this order. The layers go deeper into the image rather than build up layer by layer as in traditional applique work.
This customer wanted a larger version of my normal GD patches pictured here.
So I leapt into the unknown depths of reverse applique and turned his wish into a large side pocket.
The result was as hoped, a happy smiling customer!!
