Greetings creative Steemicans! I don’t know why but it seems it took forever for this Monday to arrive. Maybe because we had such a fun long weekend celebrating our son turning five! I’ll be doing another post on that soon so be looking out if you would like to hear about our little adventure :) I’ve missed you all and look forward to catching up today!
Two weeks ago I shared with you that I finally started our baby girl’s blanket. I tried something new and chose six colors instead of two or three this time. I wasn’t for sure if I was gonna love it or even if I was going to continue making it. I got a lot of great positive feedback from you all and I really appreciate the love and support. So as you can see from the pic above it’s a keeper and I DO love it! 😃
As more rows were added and each color was used it started to really grow on me. I like that it’s unique and different and how it stands out. As for my husband, unfortunately he still feels the same way. He says,
As far as quality and neatness your work is beautiful as always but I still think there’s too many colors.
I always appreciate his honesty. He’s a smart man starting out his comment with a compliment. 😂 I have taught him well lol! 😁 Although I would love for him to love it, I know we won’t always like the same things and I’m okay with that. Everyone has their own preferences and we have to learn to accept that. However when it’s finished I think he will like it more~
I have worked on the blanket almost every day. Sometimes it may be for only a few minutes but most times for at least an hour. My goal is to pick it up every day and do a little work on it so I can finish it soon. I’m hoping to have it completed by the end of this month. That way I’ll have at least a month to make some other items before her arrival.
Here’s a recap on how much I had done two weeks ago compared to now...
Progress progress!! 😄 I’ll be sharing an update in two more weeks. Hopefully by then I’ll be over halfway done! 🤞🏽
