Its been a while since i posted anything new. Work has been very busy, so ive had little time to crochet and when i have picked up a hook ive been working on this jumper. Altogether its taken about 3 days to make, so much quicker than the skull one i made a month or so back! Since i finished the last one ive been asked to make 3 more and seeing as they are so easy to make i couldnt say no :)
This particular lady wanted a plain jumper with no skull motif so was very quick to work up. I wanted to make something for her because she has begun stocking some of my items in her local shop, so starting to make some yarn money :) nice to have some work appreciated :D
Apologies for the poor back drop! I really want to get a dressmakers dummy to display clothing properly. The main body is a simple double crochet, chain 2 repeat to make the squares.
The collar is a few rows of single crochet followed by a row of half double crochet - keeps a nice shape but has a bit of stretch in it.
The cuffs are worked in the same way as the neckline. The hem is super easy - rows of single crochet worked into back loops only to give the awesome ribbed look!
The jumper is seamed with single crochet, so there is minimal sewing involved and a great starter project if you want to branch into clothing but are put off by piecing together!
