These loops are great for all seasons. They are made of cotton ribbon yarn which comes from different companies in a lot of colors. And they are easy to knit.

Diese Loops kann man das ganze Jahr über tragen. Das Bändchengarn ist aus Baumwolle und wird von verschiedenen Herstellern in den unterschiedlichsten Farbvarianten angeboten. Sie sind schnell und einfach zu stricken.

Instructions / Anleitung

You need a skein of 100g yarn, a 60 cm circular needle (6mm) and a crochet hook of the same size or a bit bigger. Cast on 120 stitches (or other number divisible by 4) and close to round. Knit one round, then one round of {purl one, 1 slip stitch with yarn in back, purl 2}. Knit those two rounds alternately, approx. 60 in total (until only 5 m are left of the yarn). Then with the crochet hook (by the way, I always use a crochet hook to bind off, it's much easier) bind off the first three stitches loosely, drop the fourth stitch, make four chain stitches, and repeat that: bind off three, drop one, four chain stitches till the end. Now let the dropped stitches drop till they are gone and your loop is done!

Gebraucht werden 100 g Garn, eine 60 m Rundstricknadel Nr. 6 und eine Häkelnadel derselben Stärke oder etwas grösser. 120 Maschen anschlagen (oder eine andere Anzahl teilbar durch 4) und zur Runde schließen. Eine Runde rechte Maschen, dann eine Runde {1 Masche links, 1 Hebemasche (Faden hinten), 2 Maschen links}. Diese beiden Runden abwechselnd, ca. 60 insgesamt (bis nur noch 5 m übrig sind vom Garn). Dann nehmen wir die Häkelnadel (ich nutze zum Abketten übrigens immer eine Häkelnadel, geht viel einfacher). Die erste bis dritte Masche locker abketten, die vierte Masche fallen lassen, vier Luftmaschen häkeln (nicht zu fest) und wieder drei Maschen abketten, eine fallen lassen, vier Luftmaschen usw. - zum Schluss eine Kettmasche um die Runde zu schliessen. Jetzt die Fallmaschen noch bis zum Anfang aufdröseln.

Outlier / Sonderfall

There's one loop done with yarn overs and knitting stitches together. It looks nice but I won't do such a loop again. You have the hassle of lace knitting (a dropped stitch leads to hours of make-up work and lots of grey hair) without the spectacular result ;)

Ganz klar - ein Loop ist nicht mit Fallmaschen gearbeitet. Er wurde mit Umschläge und Zusammenstricken von Maschen gemacht. Sieht zwar auch interessant aus, mache ich aber nicht wieder. Man hat den ganzen Stress vom Lace-Sticken und hinterher nichts dem man die grauen Haare ansieht die es verursacht hat.

Keys

The only time you need your owner key is if something went wrong. And, to dumb it down, things can only get wrong if you make a mistake. So don't. Simple, isn't it?
