Hello needleworkers! I can finally show you my finished tissue box cover that my mom requested I make her. I made it with stiff plastic mesh that I did needlepoint on. I totally winged it on the design. :)
She wanted something she could put around the tissue box in her car so it would quit getting crushed and having tissues spill out all over the place.
So I did the sides design as trees, and then just stitched different colors on the top and bottom. The bottom opens and closes with a button and loop so she can slide a box of tissues in and out.
I've embroidered fabric several times but did not appreciate how long it would take me to stitch this together before doing so, lol. I thought it would work up a lot faster, being that the holes in the mesh were so wide. Oh, the naivete! LOL
So that's it! Project done. Woohoo! LOL Now onto other projects that need finished ...like the patchwork, upcycled, insulated curtain I started MONTHS ago and haven't touched in months. When it comes to crafting, my focus is ...squirrel!
