Hello everyone! The photos above is a wedding occasion of my daughter a year ago. As you can see, the flower girls enjoyed carrying there flower baskets. Well, they're all made by yours truly. They're all DIYs creations from scraps and things we can find to make a beautiful basket that would fit for the theme. Rustic is trending nowadays so we looked for some hemp cloth to match the color.
After the occasion, our friends liked our DIY creations, one of which is the flower basket. The exposure of the event made us busy since then. I received additional orders from my clients, hence these baskets.
Actually, I couldn't find a nice basket so I found a nice flower pot instead.
you need to make a small hole on each side for the handle.
I wrapped the wire with a flat cord. It's like a shoe lace I got from my scraps which I've kept for future use.
I used an old hemp sack and cut into a sash. I zigzagged both ends to keep the strands in its place, the sewed the center lace
I have to be careful not to break my needle because it's quite thick. Then I used a glue to paste it on the basket.
You can hide the ends by placing a design at the center. Say, a picture of the couple or their initials would be perfect!
Well, she kept on looking at her flower basket. She really liked it that her mom asked if they can take it along with them and who can refuse a child's little wish?
See, it turned out to be perfect for the occasion and who would think they're from old things just around the corner and flower pots instead of baskets!
I hope you like the ideas here and thank you for viewing my post.
Thanking the needlework community for this endeavor, and thanks to ,
