Hello all steemian friends and especially needleworkers on this #needleworkmonday !
So now my embroidered heart #1 has a friend :D
Here they are together:
And here's Heart #2 on its own:
The process was really quite simple, I used the same fabric and thread as for the first heart, here's the description
This time, I made the heart slightly smaller than the previous one, I thought the two would look better if they are not the same size. You may see the markings on the fabric in this picture, although they are quite faint.
For Heart #2 I wanted to make the picture slightly different from the first heart, still using bullion stitch but laying out the roses differently.
The inspiration came from the images of cake decor I've been admiring on Pinterest - you know those cakes which are decorated just on one side like in this screenshot:
I had only an approximate idea of how I want the heart to look and didn't mark exact rose locations on the cloth.
For a small project like this, it's not a problem, but I think if I was embroidering a larger piece, I'd need to draw a precise picture on the cloth before starting the embroidery.
The finishing of the heart was exactly the same as for the previous one - quick and easy.
And now I have two delicate hearts brightening up that formerly dull corner :-D
