Rock candy is a beautiful sight and is perhaps one of very few candys that could easily be turned into jewelry with its beautiful crystalline shapes. I think that colors are a big part of the appeal, as it is of course just flavored sugar but when you see neon crystals you cannot help but get into and enjoy it even more. Our eyes are an important part of our food experience, as something that is not nice to look at of course can taste good, but when we think its pretty it somehow makes the eating much better. Our mind is tricked of course because the way it looks obviously does not affect the flavor but I think that we should embrace this illusion and make all of our food and candies look amazing, then everyone will have a good experience and enjoy them that much more than normal.
