Hello everyone and welcome to the latest edition of ‘Frey’s Findings’. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and if you don’t celebrate Christmas I hope you had a good day regardless!
This week people have been raving about season two of thriller ‘Alice in Borderland’ which follows a gamer who suddenly finds himself in a desolate version of Tokyo, Japan, he has to compete against his friends in a dangerous game in order to survive.
I have been meaning to watch this series as many of my friends have been obsessed with it and it is right up my street. Next week I shall share my thoughts! Another popular watch among the youth recently is still Wednesday. This has kept at number one for the past 5 weeks, people just cannot get enough! I spoke about this in my last entry and I can say that the hype won’t be dying down anytime soon! I agree with the hype though- it is a very interesting and thrilling watch.
This week’s Netflix line-up consists of the new live action ‘Matilda’.
This is a big hit in cinemas and streaming sites. I always find it interesting when things like classic animated Disney films and books are made into live action. I always like to see how they get interpreted. This film has also accumulated 92% on rotten tomatoes opposed to the 1996 adaptation which has 91%. My close friend who has watched it would 100% recommend to anyone that enjoyed the 1996 version- which I thoroughly enjoyed. People are also talking about another Roald Dahl classic to be released at the end of 2023- Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet as the main part. This will be the third adaptation of the film.
As you all know if you have been keeping up to date with the ‘Frey’s Findings’ articles, you will know I love watching Eastenders, especially the old ones. This week I have been watching BBC iPlayer and streaming all the 2008 episodes. It is all I seem to do in my spare time haha! I have also been streaming a lot of youtube videos and watching popular gaming youtuber ‘Daz Games’. He plays things like horror games, reacts to different videos and I find him hilarious! Though, if you don’t like bad language I wouldn’t recommend it! Again, as always I have been streaming my K-Pop music videos (You’ll always find me watching these.) I can guarantee you half of the views are me alone haha!
Popular youtubers this week have been, yet again, Mr Beast- whose video has accumulated 65 million views in 9 days!
You can watch that here.
Other fan favourites have been Minecraft gaming videos, I used to LOVE watching things like this and my favourite channel was always ‘DanTDM’. I still watch his channel from time to time and also watch his ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ gameplay which is a well-known horror game set in a pizzeria. If you like horror games and haven’t yet checked it out, I recommend it.
Popular celebs this week have been ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega, all I have been seeing this week is edits on TikTok haha, my friend is OBSESSED with her, I can always rely on her to be updated lol. Singer SZA has been trending with her latest album SOS- I have listened to most of the album and I can 100% get behind the hype. I love her music, anyone else? Another popular one has yet again been Kanye West, also known by his new name ‘Ye', all for the wrong reasons- all for his sick and twisted views. As said in the last issue if you want to read more about the situation you should search it up!
Everyone is also talking about the saddening death of Vivienne Westwood aged 81.
Personally I love fashion and loved her eccentric fashion style. I have always wanted the pearl necklace made by her. One day I will get it! Mark my words!
Yet again we have reached the end of this week's issue, I hope you all enjoyed and thank-you for getting this far. I’ll see you next Monday for a brand new issue! Stay tuned for what next week's edition holds! Thanks again!
