There are meals… and then there are moments like this.
Yesterday lunch was a little unexpected fusion — nachos and dim sum. Two completely different stories on one marble table, and somehow, they made perfect sense together. A little bit of crunch, a little bit of steam — and a whole lot of calm.
On one side, golden nachos layered with warm cheese, creamy guacamole, tangy jalapeños, and that soft cloud of sour cream — bold, messy, unapologetically fun. Every bite felt like a celebration of flavor, noise, and chaos — in the best way.
And right next to it: a bamboo basket gently steaming, holding delicate dim sums like tiny pillows of comfort. Soft, subtle, and full of depth — each one quietly powerful in flavor, especially when dipped into that vibrant green chili oil.
It was like sitting between two continents — one bold and loud, the other graceful and calm. And yet, I loved how they complemented each other. Maybe that’s the kind of balance I crave in life and art too — a bit of spice and softness, tradition and surprise.
Sometimes, the best meals are the ones that don’t follow the rules — just like the best days.
