My best / worst 2019 investment was....

Contest submission - very rare - but it is xmas time

So I have to admit - I hardly had a lot time last year to engage a lot with great guys on the community. Several reasons why which I am not outlining all as of important reasons. I used to love contests, I organized some in my wild early days here on Steem - not very structured but for fun using my own tags people probably do not remember at all aka Beach Wednesday, Sun Thursday, Dance Weekend and other useless stuff. The only real important and successful one was the Soccer Contest around the last World Cup via Hive account@sportsgeek - currently I indeed have a bit spare time to attend a contest and even to engage a bit more than usual - great times!

Hive account@kingscrown is one of the guys here on Steem that are well known. Some think he earns way too much, some adore him. He is for sure one of the guys that promotes the blockchain so I am attending his contest linked below:

Learn from me

If I would have more time I could write a book about the trouble I had the entire year and still will have in 2020 with the investment in a great new property purchase. On a positive note - even I will lose a 6-figure Euro amount I have learned a lot, the value will still increase but I want to focus on a positive invest - if one can call it that way!

My best 2019 investment was Steem

Some might laugh given the Steem price but since I am here since August 2016 with hardly any invest I am linked to this blockchain by my heart. The community is great, even the engagement could be improved compared to the early days.

Given the mentioned property invest I was not able to buy a lot Steem as I had to save cash for the other project but I could at least pump some Fiat currency into the Steem ecosystem by buying Steemmonsters Cards aka Splinterlands - a game that fascinates me a lot as player and investor. Thanks to Hive account@aggroed and Hive account@yabapmatt for creating this addictive blockchain game. I invest several hundreds or even more but the value of my cards did at least triple. Splinterlands is a great blockchain App that proves why Steem is better as Ethereum. The rewards playing Steemmonsters even made it possible to power up my Steem Power as well - so in a nutshell this is my best investment of 2019. And THANKS to my guild - the Legendary Dragons!
