Heya splinter fellas,
Only 18 minutes left in this season and as usual, I am monitoring the leaderboard every now and then. Champion leaderboard hmm it's funny to see only 3 accounts could manage to get into champion 1. Yea this is how seasons have become so difficult. Gone are those days when players used to achieve 5k+ ratings.
Why is that so?
Well if you ask me the reason then the answer is the exponential growth of the game :P XD Yep, new players are really smart. The most annoying thing is they only rent 2 or 3 decks and become troublesome for us :P I have always planned my games. I play three accounts so I try to get higher on the leaderboard as soon as possible. But for the past couple of seasons, it has become very difficult. Champion league players get paired with diamond league players so when the champion loses a battle diamond players get +36 points. But on the other hand champion league players gets only 20 points. 20 points if the player is on a winning streak otherwise 10 points. I don't like the point system and I don't even have a solution so i can't complain about it. Well, many top players deal with the same issue and they are more talented than me. I don't know what they think about it.
Before playing for leaderboard used to be fun now it is nothing but stress. The way I take tension when i lose 36 points I fear I will be a blood pressure patient soon. Of course, this game is not greater than my health but I just can't help it I love this game too much.
This season Leaderboard results
Only Three accounts made it to champion 1. I am glad xadragon is one of them. I can't believe with a 4500+ rating I was in the top 10 :P XD Now you can imagine the seriousness of the season. It's not a funny thing but I am actually laughing when I look at the leaderboard. I am happy all three accounts I play were in the top 10.
I used to hear this saying that hard work pays but in the world of splinterlands Smart work>hard work. I have seen players playing non-stop still couldn't manage to make it to their desired target. Anyways it is what it is. Time to think hard and make different strategies for the next time. God help me, please.
