- A for Arm Weakness – This test will help find out whether any of the arms have some feeling of numbness or weakness. For that, you need to ask the person to raise both their hands above their heads. - S for Speech Difficulty – Slurring of speech is one of the first symptoms in a patient that suffers from a stroke. The speech often becomes incomprehensible. So, you must ask the person to say a sentence aloud and look out for any abnormality in their speech.
