Finally, numerous fans of the world-famous series, among which was me, based on a series of novels by George R. R. Martin's “Song of Ice and Fire”, waited for his final season.
However, it so happened that the plot of this season was not written on the novel of the writer, and in his rough notes, as well as the story of the previous, seventh season. Perhaps this is why the creators of the series made its end in several versions, one of which we eventually saw.
If you remember, at the end of the seventh season, the rulers of all seven kingdoms United, forgetting for perennial of infighting and strife, for one single purpose - the victory over the hordes of “white walkers”, which under the leadership of the King of the Night came out of the Wall that separated the Kingdom of the dead from the land of the Seven kingdoms.
They are ruthless and, like no other, strong. In addition, their ranks are constantly replenished by opponents who died in battle. The army of the night King became even stronger after the transformation of one of the dragons killed by them Daenerys…
All the time during season I, like many others, was worried about one question: who? Who will eventually become the sole ruler of all Seven Kingdoms and take the coveted Iron Throne, which, as we know, there were several contenders?
Among them - Daenerys, passionately dreaming to take, as she thinks, its rightful place, John stark, which, as it turned out, was the latest legitimate heir on throne on male lines...
Not eager to “give” someone a crown and Cersei, which, clear as day, will stand to the last, especially since she wears under the heart of a child - the future heir to the throne…
Well, what can we say about the season?
To be honest, he disappointed me a little. First, the fact that its the third series, which was the most large-scale battle in the history of “Game of thrones”, was not so spectacular, what I had imagined. It lasts quite a long time, a lot of things that happen on the screen, it is not clear: who, where, when and who pushes or, on the contrary, runs from the enemy... All mixed up: horses, people, ghouls, in General, a lot of small. It is absolutely unclear for what was told by the witch that she will not live to see the dawn? I thought she would fight with the warriors on the battlefield and die there. But no, it is after the slaughter was over and the enemy was defeated, just came out of the gate of the fortress, walked a few meters, lay down and quietly gave her soul to God…
I still don't understand what it was about. That wanted to say that the creators of the series?
The fourth series was struck by the dullness, lack of plot, lackluster game, the main characters, but the fifth forced to shudder undue cruelty Daenerys, who always said that her goal is to achieve justice, the eradication of slavery, the establishment of peace in the lands United under her early kingdoms. But in the end? Horror, and only!
Needless to say, how impatiently we all waited for the last, the final series, and she gave us a surprise.
Believe me, the final itself was hard to even imagine... However, if you haven't watched it, I advise you to watch immediately…
On the Internet wrote that a group of fans made a petition to the creators of the series either with a request or requirement to replace it with the final series.
I don't know if the authors of the series will go for it, but given what they themselves said about the fact that several versions were shot, perhaps they will do it.
The performance of the main actors, most of them, disappointed me. Not so they looked, as this was in past seasons. I can not know, of course, what caused it, but whether they are tired of acting in it, or simply because they saw the finish line, and they began to relax…
Nevertheless, I advise you to watch this season, but keep in mind that due to the huge number of bloody scenes, violence and debauchery, persons under the age of majority, it is not recommended to watch it.
