A good day to you all
Copied from my gallery
My name is Nneoma (which means good mother). I’m a native of the tribe Igbo which is amongst the 3 ethnic groups situated in Nigeria. I’m from Ebonyi state. I’m the first child out of three children. I was born on the 6th of January and I’m currently in the university studying philosophy in my 2nd year.
Educational background and working experience
I have worked at sundry foods Kilimanjaro as a cashier but discontinued work as a result of a deterioration in my sight due to continuous contact with the merchandiser. I have also worked as a salesperson at a supermarket and clothing shop ( otherwise known as a boutique ). I completed my secondary school education and I’m currently in a tertiary institution, a federal one to be precise, University of Uyo. A university situated in one of the many states that Nigeria is comprised of, Akwaibom, Uyo, studying philosophy in my 2nd year.
Hobbies
I love to sing. I love love love Spanish songs and can sing despacito from beginning to end. I love to read motivational and inspirational books, Taking The Risk by Ben Carson, If You Want To Be Rich And Happy Don’t Go To School by Robert T Kiyosaki and Tough Times Never Last But Tough People Do by Robert H Schuller are three of my favorite books. I love to eat, I would love to become a food critique as times progress, I do voice overs a lot although I have never gotten any gigs that have allowed me to showcase my talents, I take pictures in my spare time cause it makes me happy, would love to become a photo shoot model or influencer someday. I also love to write and that’s what I’m pursuing for now. I am currently in the process of completing my first book, it is centered on making you a better version of yourself. I love to talk as well, mostly on the aspect that has to do with motivation and inspiration, because a lot of people are struggling and battling with a lot of things and a little sign of hope or courage through your words could be just what they needed to keep going.
What I plan on writing here
I would want to talk about life, human potential, self love, the effects of single parenting on a child, single parenting, ( like it or not there will always be a unique value a father would add to a child’s life that a mother can’t and vice versa, for someone that has actually lived with a single parent I know for a fact that it could either make or break you, depending on how you choose to respond to it ), everything motivation and anything interesting I think about.
I picked a strong liking for writing motivating and inspirational stories, especially with the rates of suicides there are in present time. I have lost a friend to this cause ( may his soul Rest In Peace ). I believe that humans have a lot of capacity they don’t even know they possess either because they don’t believe in themselves enough to see it or the situation they have found themselves in have beclouded their judgement. I also want to use my space as a platform to find and hear voices ( I call it a safe space to vent ) because I believe that scars don’t happen to limit you, rather they happen to keep you steadily going on the right track, just cause you encountered a tragic experience doesn’t mean your life has to become one. I once heard a Nigerian influencer named Jenni Frank say on a YouTube channel that “ Scars are the sacrifice of every star “ and I believe it, you have to believe it too, to turn your trauma into a guide for others to follow into the light.
How did I come to know about this platform?
I came to know about hive through a friend . He couldn’t help but sing praises about how much this platform has helped him improve his writing skill and monetarily. I have searched everywhere for a platform that I could connect with people of like minds as me and grow as a writer. Generally I was looking for a place where I could be groomed properly on writing and gain experience in the course of my time and here I am in a platform that suits the role perfectly.
In conclusion
I really am delighted to be on this platform and I genuinely cannot wait to get acquainted with you all. I most sincerely thank my good friend for introducing me to this platform.
I would like to conclude on this note, my father once told me that May Jameson the first female black American astronaut was asked to define GREATNESS and in her own metaphor she chose LIFESTYLE saying that life is what God has given to you , style is what you make out of it. I hope to learn a lot from each and everyone of you and I pray I make impacts in everyone’s life as well.
Cheers🥂
