And who's your best friend???
I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I remember I wanted a dog so bad. When I was little I wrote a letter to Santa and asked for a dog. I was dreaming about West Highland White Terrier and I don't even know why. Maybe because it's one of those cute, small dog breeds. I remember i was reading a lot of books, newspapers etc. about dogs. I knew almost all dog breeds... (even now I remember a lot of them). But my parents didn't believe I would have taken care of one. Just because I've had pets before (a mini bunny, 2x hamsters and 2x mini white mouses) and my parents were accusing me of not taking care of my pets good enough. Oh well I was little plus I don't think it was that bad lol but they said no. No dogs.
Every year was the same. No dogs. One day (I don't remember how old I was. Maybe 13 yo. Maybe I was older maybe younger) I just brought my dog to home without informing anybody about that before lol
My friend's father found abounded dog. She was pregnant. And gave birth to 2 pups. When I found out about that just thought it was a chance lol She had a boy and a girl. The funniest thing is. It was two girls. My friend lied to me telling me that one of them was a boy just because she was worried I wouldn't have taken a girl (what actually was true because I didn't want a girl). I didn't check the sex. I was too excited and happy to do that. I had a name for him already. I called "him" Snoopy. Came back home with "him" and everybody was like : "you are kidding me?
We said no dogs. We will see who is going to take this dog for a walk and stuff.... because I'm not going to do that".... blah blah blah lol (I really didn't care what they were saying lol) But I didn't have to wait longer than 2 minutes and my whole fam was in love with "Snoopy". After a few days when my dog actually started to remember "his" name my brother told me it was a girl. It was a big deal for me. I even started crying because I didn't know how to name her. But I'm a creative person so I looked at her and named her "Cola" , "Coca Cola" and that's because her hair's color reminded me of color of "Coca Cola".
Unfortunately I don't have any picture of her when she was a puppy. That's the only one I have on my phone and it was taken in 2014. She was already like 9/10 yo. (even her hair turned grey)
Now I know life is kind of empty without my dogs.
But it wasn't only one dog I had...
Meanwhile my brother decided to buy him a dog too. He bought American Staffordshire Terrier. And I have more pictures of him taken by my brother.
He was growing really fast.
But it wasn't a big deal for ''Cola'' lol Nothing could stop her from showing who was the real boss. When they met for the first time she wasn't really happy. She was barking and didn't let him touch herself. But after a few weeks she used to it and wasn't that mean anymore. She started to treat him like younger brother even if he was bigger than her like 4 or 5 times lol. Anyway he still didn't jump on the bed when she was on it. She could eat from his bowl but he from her bowl not really . (Plus his mouth were bigger than her bowl 2 times so it didn't fit in it anyway lol.) Amstaff was an aggressive dog breed they said lmfao
Even if there was a lot of work around them. Sometimes I had to go for a walk with both of them at the same time but sometimes separately. I had to cook fresh food for them almost everyday etc. But I miss that. Because they were grateful, showed me how much dogs can love. They loved me unconditionally, no matter what. They were waiting on me and were so happy when I came home. They where around me when I was sad trying to comfort me. They were making me laugh.
That's something hard to explain. And you have to experience it yourself to know what I am talking about. You have to own a dog to find out what that means.
When she died it was really quiet at home. Just because she was making a noise all day long. My mom says that dogs are like their owners and act like them. That's why we called her later a "Mini". She was a "Mini Me" which means loud, bossy and fast lol.
And Buster (that's his name) was sad after she was gone too. He missed her.
And had nobody to follow and copy.
He still stays with my family in Poland. I haven't seen him since 2015. !
!
I miss her and him and I know he misses me too even if he is happy staying with my family.
See you soon, mommy loves you!
