#colorfulphotography: It's Always About "The Ride"

It’s always about “The Ride”...

My home is the beautiful City of Calgary, abundant with natural and man-made beauty! Whether its streetscapes, landscapes, skyscapes, its massive Prairie sun or the bluest of blue Alberta skies, there is no shortage of gorgeous photo-capture opportunities. Today was yet another beautiful day in the Foothills of the Rockies!

Urgently needing to unplug from a wonderfully packed week, my Bestie, Hive account@bluescan and I, did what we do - headed out to any or no particular place, to walk! The destination is rarely important.

For me, it’s ALWAYS about “The Ride"! The destination is a "bonus"! During "The Ride", we are deliberate in making memories and enjoying every single minute we are gifted. Photo-taking and sweet music during "The Ride" are what we use to do just that – capture and make memories!

So today, we headed out to enjoy a cold, bright, blue-sky Calgary day!

DRIVE-BYS ...

Drive-Bys are one of my favorite methods to take photos! This involves hanging out of (sometimes precariously), a moving vehicle and shouting, “Shoot” to the voice-activated Galaxy S7 (safely tethered to my wrist)! It’s highly unattractive and might even be driver-distracting, but I am always surprised and usually delighted by what “She” captures!

The Blue photo below is the Original, unedited “Drive-By” along Memorial Drive, SE, Calgary.

PHONE ART …

“Playing with” Original captures is pure delightful! PhotoEditor and ToolWiz were the phone apps I used to color and “morph” the Original blue shot into the Orange shots (below)!

These apps allow a person to take good or bad original shots and “do something more”! Results are ALWAYS a surprise – sometimes pleasant, other times not! I was pleased with these …
