That's the story of my life, in a nutshell ... a definition of BUSY. Too busy to relax, too busy to take a decent break, too busy to pursue other interests, too busy to write ...
Get up at 6am, pack lunches for everyone, throw on clothes, drive to job no. 1 to start at 7am - the playschool and learning centre. Spend the morning organizing, supervising, administrating, accounting, caring, nursing, mothering, mentoring .... drinking cold coffee, grabbing bites out of a sandwich. Rushing out of the school at around 2.30 or 3 pm to job no. 2 - Fitness Centre. Spend 2-3 hours administrating, accounting, smiling ... shovelling down a very late lunch and hot coffee (hallelujah).
Me in the background, with Vanessa our personal trainer.
Leave at around 5.30pm, to the supermarket - try to remember what I'm supposed to buy for the household, smile and chat to the locals and checkout girls ... it's actually great living in a small town - I know practically everyone, if not by name then by sight ... jump into the car and head for home, occasionally stopping at the bottle store for Milk Stout after a frantic phone call to the store owner to wait for me (closing time is 6pm). Arrive home just after 6pm to a grumpy husband who's been home alone all day, unpack the groceries, talk about supper ... thankfully I don't have to cook too often ... sit down and open the laptop, check emails and do quotes for my brother's holiday home, check the facebook pages on which I am admin ...
Then down the stairs comes precious adorable granddaughter, 10 months old, to have some quality granny time. Close laptop, play or take her for a walk around the garden. 8pm back on laptop, open Steemit, read and respond to replies, go through feed and make comments, follow some leads to other posts ... and find myself nodding off unable to concentrate, exhausted.
Tonight, I am babysitting. Managed to have a power nap around 10pm, now it's 1.30am and I'm finally adding a post. I have to work in the Fitness Centre at 8.30am until 2pm ... the rest of Saturday and Sunday we're going to work on the flat which we're renovating so that we can move into it and let the children and granddaughter live in the house. .... And then Monday will dawn again ... back to BUSY!
