You know what's hard? Going to the gym multiple times a week is hard.
Do you know what else is hard? Staying motivated with anything and everything you do is literally impossible!
Why is it that as soon as the road gets hard we want to put it aside and not focus on what we need to do to further our success?
Well actually the problem is our brain, it is constructed in such a way that it does not want to do anything that is challenging or hard. This explains why we do not want to go on a run or to the gym or do work. We have taught our brains that this is not what society considers easy and now our own brain has become our BIGGEST OBSTACLE.
There is indeed a solution and it is quite magical!
So what you need to do is quite simple, although it may be very difficult at first.
Here it goes!
So start with making a list, a list of things you want to accomplish.
Write everything you would want to do in an ideal world! Then every time you get something done, you cross it off the list and this makes your reward chemicals shoot out into your brain, which makes you want to achieve more things!
It is really pretty awesome!
On top of that, if you want to take it a step further, make a schedule!
You know when you plan something with a group of friends, you go through with it most of time? Well, that is because you know that you have made a commitment to it. You know the commitment will be fun and worth your time!
Now all you have to do is make the commitments that you do not consider so fun become fun and worth your while!
EASY RIGHT?? SAID NO ONE EVER lol
So what do we do? Start slow and stick to a schedule! If it is really hard, create a rewards system in order to make sure that you are enjoying what you are doing! This means that if you love a specific Starbucks coffee, only get it if you accomplish a particular task, you will not believe how much this will motivate you! Seriously!!!!!! IT IS AMAZING!
