BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) - The Houthi forces have responded to the plethora of Saudi-led airstrikes on Hodeideh by launching drone attacks on the Gulf-backed troops along the coast.
According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their rocket battalion launched several drone attacks against the Gulf-backed troops in the southern part of the Hodeideh Governorate on Monday.
The Houthi forces added that their drone attacks resulted in the death of several Gulf-backed fighters.
While the Houthi forces use drones, the Saudi-led Coalition has launched several airstrikes over Hodeideh this evening.
The Saudi-led Coalition reportedly launched over ten airstrikes above the Hodeideh Airport, as they attempt to bomb the Houthi forces into submission at this strategic installation in western Yemen.
Since Sunday, the Saudi-led Coalition has launched over 40 airstrikes above the contested Hodeideh Airport; this heavy bombardment has failed to expel the Houthi forces from the installation.
The strategic battle for Hodeideh began last week when the UAE-backed Southern Resistance Army and Yemeni Republican Guard stormed the Houthi-held areas south and east of the provincial capital.
While the offensive got off to a successful start, the Gulf-backed troops have found little success since reaching the Hodeideh Airport.
