BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) - An Israeli court sentenced two men from the Golan Heights to prison for attacking an Israeli ambulance carrying wounded Syrian militants to a nearby hospital, the Times of Israel reported.
According to the report, the two Golani Druze men chased after the IDF ambulance and then attacked the Syrian militants that were being transported to a nearby field hospital.
The two men were identified as Kamal Amar and Yousef Sharif of the Golan Heights town of Hurfeish.
Amar was sentenced to 12 months in prison for intentional endangerment of human life, while Sharif was sentenced to 10 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of NIS 10,000 for taking part in the attack.
The attack took place in June 2015 when the Syrian militants were launching an offensive to enter the predominately Druze province of Al-Sweida in southern Syria.
