BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:30 P.M.) - The Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) carried out a powerful attack against the Turkish-backed rebels in the northwestern countryside of the Aleppo province this week.
According to the official media wing of the YPG, their sleeper cell in the Afrin region targeted a group of rebels with a roadside bomb near the Turkish border.
The YPG said that the roadside bomb managed to kill at least four of the Turkish-backed rebels inside the town of Shankila, which is currently under the control of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
This latest attack by the YPG comes just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his country's armed forces were withdrawing from Syria.
