BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:45 P.M.) - The Saudi-backed Yemeni National Army scored a new advance in northern Yemen, today, after a fierce battle with the Houthi forces in the Sa'ada Governorate.
According to Sky News Arabia, the Yemeni National Army, backed by the Saudi-led Coalition, managed to capture the village of Mughram in the Baaqem District this afternoon.
This advance by the Saudi-backed forces marks the first major advance they have made inside the Houthi provincial stronghold of Sa'ada.
The Houthi forces are nearly in full control of the Sa'ada Governorate, which is strategically located near the Saudi border.
For the Saudi military, securing the Yemeni border is a high priority for their high command, as the Houthi forces currently control several crossings.
