BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 A.M.) - All conditions are now present for the voluntary return of Syrian refugees who fled their country due to the conflict, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Saturday.
Muallem said that "the government continues to rehabilitate areas destroyed by terrorists" with the help of the international community.
"We welcome any assistance with reconstruction from those countries that were not part of the aggression against Syria," Muallem stated. "The countries that offer only conditional assistance or continue to support terrorism, they are neither invited nor welcome to help," he added.
The foreign minister continued by claiming that Israel "supported terrorist groups that operated in southern Syria."
"Israel continues to occupy a dear part of our land in the Syrian Golan and our people continue to suffer because of its depressive and aggressive policy," Muallem said. "We are determined to liberate fully the occupied Syrian Golan to the lands of June 4th, 1967."
