One of the first follow-ups or consequences (name it as you wish) of the recent, last "Friday events" that we could see and which came out widely to the public eye yesterday night is that Telegram surpassed 500 million active users while Fox News, for the first time in 20 years, lost its ratings against CNN and MSNBC.
Yesterday evening, about 12 hours ago, from Telegram service notifications, I received a message saying,
"Telegram surpassed 500 million active users."
But that wasn't the biggest and most important news. The biggest and most important news, inside the same message, followed in the very next sentence, saying,
"In the past 72 hours alone, more than 25 million new users from around the world joined Telegram."
In the past year (2020), Telegram was onboarding in an average of 1.5 million users per day, and this is a jump of over 555.55% onboarded users per day that happened in the past three days.
Can you explain these happenings otherwise than Durov said it in its channel report about the event?!?
"People no longer want to exchange their privacy for free services."
On the other hand, and at the same time, although maybe not for the exact same reason, but indeed as the result of the same last "Friday event" and its following events, Fox News lost its, for 20 years held, the first position in the number of viewership against both of its main competitors (CNN and MSNBC), as Newsweek reported.
Despite the saying that teaches us to "Keep the friends close, and the enemies even closer," I believe these rating numbers are going to fall for Fox News even more in the coming days.
Wondering what's next, I'm asking myself, am I just imagining, or did I correctly hear, understand, and remember the words of that song, saying, "we are ninety, together we are mighty!?!"
Till next time, stay calm, stay in prayer, hold your faith, and keep sharing peace, love, and truth!
