Johnny Hurley, A Virginia native and Anarcho-Capitalist living in Colorado was shot and killed by police while responding to an active shooter on Tuesday.
The details aren't totally clear, but from what I've gathered from news reports, He was in a near by Army Navy store when he heard the gunshots. One cop had already been shot, and later died. The owner of the store said he didn't hesitate, drew his gun, and went to work getting people off the street and running toward the fight. Johnny Identified and engaged the target, killing the gunman who had shot the first cop.
Here are where things get kinda fuzzy. According to news reports, Johnny was shot by a Police bullet. To my knowledge, no more details have been released.
Regardless, Johnny died a son of freedom, a hero.
People often ask people who think like we do, "Without police, who would protect us?!" Johnny answered that question not only with his words, but his actions.
Rest in peace Johnny.
