The plant has now been revived after receiving gas supplies and started producing subsidized fertilizer for farmers on Tuesday (23/1/2018).
After PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in North Aceh, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) again produced fertilizer after Pertam Arun Gas (PAG) supplied gas for the plant.
Gas certainty is supplied by PAG to PIM after a meeting held in Jakarta on Wednesday (17/01/2018) between the Board of Directors of PT PIM, Deputy Minister of EMR, Archandara Tahar and other related parties.
Previously since mid-November 2017, PT PIM was not operating due to gas supply shortages due to technical problems at PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) as a gas supplier, consequently impacting subsistence fertilizer in some of the environment that is its responsibility Company PIM.
Faisal Wardhana, supervisor of public relations agency PT PIM, said that PIM re-operated its engine after PAG returned gas supplies on Friday night via swap patterns from the pln.

According to Faisal, the previous gas supply is not enough to only disuply PAG only 10 mmscfd so that gas is only able to run utility units and gas conservation, while the required to produce urea of 55 MMSCFD.
In addition, to meet the needs of fertilizer for farmers, PIM brings urea fertilizer from other factories under Indonesian fertilizer (Persero) as from the factories of Pupuk Pusri Palembang.
