EILAT: Elia Viviani, of Quick-Step Floors, fixed his second back to back Giro d'Italia win as the Italian was the speediest in a bundle dash complete in the third stage on Sunday.
Viviani completed the extensive 229-kilometer course through Israel's Negev abandon to its southern tip of Eilat along the Red Sea in a little more than five hours for his second stage triumph in the same number of days.
Sam Bennett, of Bora-Hansgrohe, was in the number one spot with a kilometer to go yet Viviani exhibited his great power by and by to surround the Irishman before the last corner and crossed the end goal first.
Viviani, who won the second stage after a comparable rebound on Saturday, completed in front of Sacha Modolo (Cannondale-Drapac) and Bennett needed to make due with third.
