NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 vs Radeon RX 480 in 3DMark Time Spy
PCEVA published first benchmarks of GTX 1060 compared to Radeon RX 480, R9 Fury and GTX 1080 in the latest installment of 3DMark software, the Time Spy DX12 benchmark. The first graph shows performance advantage of Async supported hardware. The values presented by PCEVA seems to be quite close to results posted by other sites. However it is not disclosed what GTX 1060 model is being used in this comparison, so I’m assuming it’s Founders Edition. The card was tested with two platforms with i7 6950X and i7 6700K CPU. Bear in mind, the graph above only shows graphics scores, while the charts below show graphics score only with red bars. You will notice that the overall score is higher for 6950X for obvious reason, while graphics score seems to be not affected by the use of other platform. It’s a good example why you should always compare GPUs with graphics scores, regardless of what testing platform is used. They show 1080/2K and 4K performance in few games (thanks to XDP for translation):
